Vedavyasa Gurukulam was born from the divine and visionary foresight of H.H. Sri Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji, the illustrious pontiff of the Pejawara Matha, Udupi. Recognizing a profound need to preserve the authentic traditions of Sanatana Dharma, Swamiji established this institution to bridge the rich, rigorous learning systems of the South with the spiritual heartland of the North.

वेदव्यास-गुरुकुलस्य जन्म उडुपी-स्थ-पेजावर-मठस्य यशस्वि-पीठाधीशानां परमपूज्य-श्री-विश्वेश-तीर्थ-स्वामिजी-महोदयानां दिव्य-दूरदृष्ट्या सञ्जातम्। सनातन-धर्मस्य प्रामाणिक-परम्पराणां रक्षणस्य महतीम् आवश्यकताम् अवगम्य, दक्षिणस्य समृद्ध-कठोर-शिक्षण-प्रणालीनाम् उत्तरस्य आध्यात्मिक-हृदयभागेन सह सेतु-बन्धनाय स्वामिजि-महोदयैः अस्याः संस्थायाः स्थापना कृता।
अस्माकं दैनन्दिनं लक्ष्यं शास्त्राणाम् अखण्ड-संवहनाय समर्पितमस्ति। अनुशासित-गहन-गुरुकुल-जीवनशैल्याः माध्यमेन, वयं तादृशान् विदुषः निर्मातुं प्रयतामहे ये स्व-परम्परायां दृढमूलकाः सन्तः अपि आधुनिक-विश्वाय पूर्णतया सज्जाः स्युः।
कठोर-प्रामाणिक-विशुद्ध-संस्कृत-शिक्षां प्रदातुम्, तथा च विश्वस्मिन् अस्माकं बौद्धिक-परम्परायाः रक्षणाय, आचरणाय, प्रसाराय च व्याकरणे, न्याये, वेदान्ते च आगामि-विद्वत्-पीढ्याः निर्माणम्।
